ABOUT US
Tom's passion for excavation and love of operating heavy equipment started young when he would ride his bike from his home on Downing Street in Concord to construction sites near by and watch the equipment operators in action. Every now and then one of the operators would let him ride along and try his hand at operating the equipment.
He began his career in 1983 working for A.W. Bourbeau & Son Construction, a family owned general construction business. Tom worked his way up from laborer to truck driver to equipment operator and finally, project estimator and supervisor. In 1990, he moved to LaMontagne Builders, a Bedford, NH based community developer, as an Excavation Foreman. After three years he accepted a position with the State of New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. In the Engineering Division Tom worked across the state installing boat access ramps and access parking as well as excavation work at various state owned properties.
In 2003, twenty years after starting his career he established Tom Snow & Son Construction, LLC. Tom has spent the last 20+ years providing quality excavation services across the state. His attention to every job site detail, even the details the homeowner may not notice, is what sets him apart from other excavation contractors.
Tom Jr has been working with his dad since the business started. What started as an after-school job has grown into a family operation. He has obtained his BA in Civil Engineering from University of NH and his Masters in Construction Management from SNHU. Tom Jr, in addition to field work, manages estimating and billing as well as laying out job sites once plans are received. He is also an independently licensed home and septic inspector and currently working on his septic designer's license.
Truly keeping it in the family, Tom's son-in-law, Jason Colby joined the company in spring 2017. Jason had worked part time for Tom off and on through college but his passion was Automotive Mechanics and that is where he spent the first 18 years of his career. In addition to field work, Jason can be found in the garage working on the equipment. How wonderful it has been to have an on-site mechanic when the equipment breaks.
Our goal is to provide quality services and leave every property better than when we started.
